National Farmer's Day or Kisan Diwas is observed every year on December 23, which is the birth anniversary of the fifth Prime Minister of India, Choudhary Charan Singh. Farmers are the backbone of society. They are the ones who work around the clock and all the year to ensure that people don't starve and die of hunger. On the occasion of kisan diwas Ms. Raman, Librarian conducted various library activities for classes VI to VIII. Class VI made posters and wrote slogans, Class VII dressed up as farmers and spoke a few lines, Class VIII wrote ten lines on the importance of farmers in our lives. The children came out with beautiful work and speeches and felt that we should give more support and respect to the farmers because they are the ones who provide us food to survive.
